ART YARN SPINNING CLASS

By Pam Sapetto

Monday, March 27, 2017 – 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm (note change in time)
(to be held the afternoon after our DWS meeting – Pam is the presenter)

Location: Braille Institute, 70-251 Ramon Road, Rancho Mirage CA 92270

Pam Sapetto, an expert spinner, weaver and knitter from Orange County, Calif., will be the instructor for our half-day Art Yarn Spinning class. Pam will teach basic art yarn techniques, how to make a basic single yarn of thick and thin, how to ply to make cocoons and beehives and then how to spin objects into the yarn.  She is published in The Wheel, the Ashford publication (see article below), where she describes how to make an art yarn shawl.

Pam says that the fun thing about art yarn is that you can spin just about anything you have in your stash into it in order to create color and interest.  She will give you instructions for her art yarn shawl that will put your stash to good use.
